Bong Go hails PRRD accomplishments; hopes next leaders will build on Duterte legacy

PASAY CITY -- With a little over two months left before the national and local elections, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go has once again expressed hope that the next leaders of the country will continue supporting the programs initiated by the Duterte Administration to secure a more comfortable life for all Filipinos.

Among these initiatives, the senator cited the Malasakit Centers program which has helped over three million poor and indigent Filipinos nationwide since it was launched in 2018.

A one-stop shop, the Malasakit Center is designed for poor and indigent Filipinos to conveniently avail of medical assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. Go is the principal author and sponsor of the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019.

The senator went on to commend the members of the Executive branch who were crucial to the success of the programs and projects of the administration amid the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and other national crises.

Finally, the senator maintained that in spite of the challenges that the country is facing, President Duterte will be leaving a good legacy for the country and for the Filipino people.

Go ended. (OSBG)
