The Department of Health (DOH) latest statistics report 870 new cases as of last March 06, 2022.
PRC Bakuna Bus intensifies PRC’s fight against COVID-19 through the continuous deployment of Bakuna Bus and Bakuna Bus operation.
According to the DOH, 6,297 new COVID-19 cases and 615 new deaths were recorded on March 01-07, 2022. DOH also said that 70.76% of the target population had been vaccinated.
Despite the lower number of COVID-19 cases reported in the country, Gordon urged everyone to get vaccinated, including via the PRC Bakuna Bus.
The Bakuna Bus has been traveling to different barangays in Tugatong, Tinajeros, and Tonsuya in Malabon to inoculate unvaccinated individuals since March 07, 2022.
Simultaneously, a PRC Bakuna Bus is roving in Barangays Bagumbayan, Bangkulasi, NBBS Proper, NBBS Dagatdagatan, and San Rafael, Navotas, to provide booster shots to bed-ridden and senior members of the community since March 07 until March 11, 2022.
The deployment of the Bakuna Bus will end this week, with a last visit to Bulacan on March 10, 2022.
“Patuloy ang pag arangkada ng Bakuna Buses upang maabot ang mga malalayong lugar. We initiated the Bakuna Bus and Bakuna Centers in the Philippine Red Cross to help the government in making vaccination accessible to people in far-flung areas. We are not yet done with our war against COVID-19, but together we can put an end to it by getting vaccinated. Kaya’t magpabakuna na sa Bakuna Bus at Bakuna Centers!,” Gordon said.
Last March 07, 2022, PRC vaccinated 2,203 individuals through the Bakuna Buses, Bakuna Centers, and Bakuna teams in the different local chapters nationwide.
To date, PRC has administered 1,061,124 doses of COVID-19 vaccines since it started its vaccination program in March 2021. (Philippine Red Cross)
