TACLOBAN CITY -- As everyone goes back to business after the 2022 National and Local Elections, the Tacloban City Information Office has recently launched its Media Lounge.

With the City Government’s commitment for transparency and open communication lines to the Taclobanons, and with the media being a convenient and significant channel to a wider reach of people, Mayor Alfred Romualdez  welcomes the local journalists to the City Hall.

Located at the building's second floor, the lounge provides a comfortable place for the media people while they wait for an official to be interviewed. With a computer set, printer, and fast internet connection, it could also be an ideal working place for them.

City Administrator Atty. Anacleto Rei ‘Jojo’ Lacanilao III, who graced the launching activity, has high hopes that this initiative is a significant step towards a more accessible and transparent governance. (TCIO)
