NAVAL, Biiran -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology VIII (DICT-8) has forged partnership with the Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) on the ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The ceremonial signing was conducted at the President’s Office in BiPSU on May 23.
The MOU aims to establish a framework of cooperation between the parties to ensure ICT capabilities and capacities across all sectors of Philippine society.
Engr. Dante Rosales, OIC-Technical Operations Division chief, handed a certificate of appreciation to the BiPSU President, Dr. Victor C. Canezo Jr., in recognition of the support given to DICT-8.
“We, at BiPSU, will support the implementation of the ICT capacity building and competency development of DICT,” Canezo said.
The activity was also attended by Chona B.Sabinay, dean of the School of Technology and Computer Studies; Reynold G. Bustillo, chairperson of the BS Computer Science Program; Rey Noel Collera, provincial officer of Southern Leyte; and Hazel Martinez, provincial officer of Biliran Province and the lead focal of the ILCDB of DICT-8.
