Reg’l confab to address TVET issues in Caraga – DDG Bertiz

BUTUAN CITY -- Deputy Director General for Technical Education and Skills Development (TESD) Operations Aniceto “John” D. Bertiz  said that the conduct of the Regional Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) conference would help the agency, its partners and stakeholders to address key TVET issues in Caraga.

Delivering his message during the Regional Technical Vocational Institutions (TVI) Administrators’ Conference last August 12 in Butuan City, DDG Bertiz said among these issues and concerns are pertaining to the latest TESDA issuances for the TVET Program Registration under the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System (UTPRAS), Competency Assessment and Certification System (CACS), and the Fiscal Year 2022 Scholarship Program implementation.

DDG Bertiz stressed that the forum allowed the TVET players to effectively manage the TVET sector in the region, to equip the providers with the appropriate guidelines and policies, and to meet the demands for quality services from the TVET providers.

With these developments, the official urged those in attendance both physical and in virtual platform to share their insights, plans and visions for TVET in Caraga and make them more meaningful.

“We have to review and have a clear foresight of what is to come so we can properly address the needs and demands of the region,” he said.

The activity on a blended method was attended by some 130 School Presidents/Directors/Administr ators, Academic Deans/TVET Heads of the institutions of public and private schools in Caraga Region, five Provincial Directors, 10 TESDA Technology Institutions (TTI) Administrators, 45 focal persons of the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System (UTPRAS), and 20 Support Staff.
