TACLOBAN CITY -- As the City Government of Tacloban updated its Comprehensive Development Plan – Executive Legislative Agenda (CPO-ELA), it has partnered with the DILG Tacloban City Operations Office and USAID for CHANGE in the conduct of CPO-ELA using a Whole-of-Governance Process workshop.
More than 40 civil society organizations convened to participate in the said activity.
The CSOs' inputs were as significant as that of the sectoral committees to address community issues and concerns in different areas, and were among the factors considered in updating the CPO-ELA.
Part of the two-day activity was the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Conference, for them to be enlightened about the accreditation process at the Sangguniang Panlungsod and be bona fide members of the local special bodies.
Engr. Visitacion V. Giva, city director of DILG Tacloban presented the legal framework of the CSO Accreditation as provided for by the DILG MC 2022-083 and DILG advisory regarding the guidance in the formulation of ELA for FY 2023 - 2025. (MMP/TCIO)
