CATBALOGAN CITY -- The Provincial Government of Samar, through the efforts of Governor Sharee Ann Tan, donated 10 units of electric sewing machines to 10 Senior High Schools offering a Dressmaking course under the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track.

The sewing machines were turned over to schools on September 30 at the Balay Samarnon, Catbalogan City.

“The province’s thrust will focus on the development of our human capital. We will uplift the community by upgrading their skills thereby increasing their employability,” Governor Sharee Ann Tan said. 

Around 408 senior high school students under the TVL track will benefit from this collaboration. The recipient schools include Burgos Integrated School, Basey I District; Calbiga National High School, Calbiga II; Daram National High School, Daram I; Hinabangan National High School, Hinabangan I; Lamingao National High School, Villareal II; Osmena National High School, Marabut; Quintin Quijano Sr. Agricultural School, Pinabacdao I; Ramon T. Diaz National High School, Gandara I; Tominamos Integrated School, Sta. Rita II; and Wright National High School, Wright I. (Sama PIO)
