GENERAL SANTOS CITY -- The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) XII headed by Regional Director Raylindo Aniñon provided logistical support to Dept. of Social Welfare and Development-Field Office (DSWD-FO) 12 in airlifting family food packs for the families affected by severe tropical storm or STS “Paeng” in the Municipality of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat on Saturday, October 29.

The OCD through Director Aniñon coordinated with Joint Task Force Central and 6ID commander Major General Roy Galido for the availability of Black Hawk helicopter to transport the initial 300 family food packs to be distributed to the affected families in the area.

According to DSWD-FO 12, a total of 1,000 family food packs will be provided to the local government unit of Lebak.

OCD XII as head of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) XII Logistics Clusters, Aniñon said will continually provide logistical assistance to DSWD-FO 12, headed by Regional Director Loreto Cabaya Jr. in transporting the food and non-food items (NFI) to areas affected by STS “Paeng” in Maguindanao, BARMM.

The relief supplies are augmentation to the LGU vis-a-vis the on-going disaster relief operations in the town's hard hit barangays. (OCD XII)
