Army receives modular facility, equipment donation from AFPMBAI

FORT BONIFACIO -- The Philippine Army and the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (AFPMBAI) broke ground for a P33-million two-story modular facility that will serve as a transient facility in a ceremony at the Army’s main headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on October 11, 2022.

AFPMBAI, aside from the modular facility donation, turned over P19 million worth of mobility assets, information and communication technology (ICT) equipment, four units of electrocardiogram (ECG) machines, five computer sets, and other essential office equipment for various Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA) offices and Philippine Army Major Units.

AFPMBAI President and former Vice Commander Philippine Army (VCPA) retired Maj. Gen. Rizaldo B. Limoso led the turnover ceremony which was attended by Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Camilo Z. Ligayo who represented Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., The donation is part of AFPMBAI’s commitment to allot part of its income for the social services-related programs of AFP major service branches and the Philippine National Police.

“The Philippine Army is fortunate to have AFPMBAI whose genuine benevolence for the Army’s servant-soldiers has bolstered our operational capacity,” Maj. Gen. Ligayo said in his remarks on behalf of the Army Commanding General. “These important donations will further empower and capacitate our servant-solders in fulfilling their core purpose of serving the people and securing the land,” he added.
