BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga conferred seven (7) passers for the year 2019 and 26 passers for the year 2021 for the Seal of Child Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) in the region held on November 28, 2022.
The event was in time with the conduct of the National Children’s Month Culmination Activity held at the Events Center, SM City Butuan.
DILG Caraga Regional Director Lilibeth Famacion, and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga Regional Director Mari-flor Dollaga-Libang, together with Regional Committee for the Welfare of Children (RCWC) Regional Coordinator Krysta Ryedel Antoni-De Jose, handed-over the Seal/Certificates to all LGU passers.
The Local Chief Executives (LCEs) and Local Social Welfare and Development Officers accompanied by DILG City/Municipal Local Government Operations (C/MLGOOs), DILG Provincial Directors and DILG Provincial Focal Persons received the award for the concerned LGUs.

At the regional level, the audit is conducted by the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (RITMF) led by DILG together with DSWD Caraga, RCWC Caraga, Department of Health – Center for Health and Development (DOH-CHD) Caraga, Department of Education (DepEd) Caraga, National Nutrition Council (NNC) Caraga, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Caraga, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga, Civil Society Organization (CSO)-Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Incorporated, and CSO-Propegemus Foundation, Incorporated.
The CFLGA is an assessment of the performance of LGUs designed to gauge the level of performance of LGUs in implementing child-friendly programs and services intended to promote and uplift the welfare of children. Further, the LGUs were assessed based on the indicators categorized under the four core rights of children, which are survival, development, protection, participation, plus governance.
