TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- To crack down the illegal drug activities in the province, Tandag Component City Police Station launched the anti-illegal drug operation in Purok Million, Brgy. San Agustin Sur, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur on January 11, and successfully nabbed a high-value drug suspect.
Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (SDSPPO) Director Pol. Col. Dennis Siruno identified the arrested person as Jun Nicol Lumanao Lastimado alias “dong-dong”, male, single, 28 years, Roman Catholic, college level, and a resident of Purok Rising Sun, Brgy. Bag-ong Lungsod, Tandag City.
Lastimado was accordingly apprehended by the operatives in a buy-bust operation.
During the operation, the following items wereb seized and confiscated:
l seven (7) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, an estimated weight of five (5) grams and an estimated street value of Php 34,000.00;
l one (1) paper bill worth Php1,000.00 with serial number BX557086 marked money;
l one (1) yellow disposable lighter;
l One (1) piece double mint aluminum case;
l one (1) disposable lighter with improvised tooter found inside the black perfume box;
l three (3) pieces of rolled aluminum;
l one (1) dental floss box containing 17 pieces open transparent plastic sachets containing traces of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu;
l 25 pieces empty transparent plastic sachets;
l four (4) pieces of disposable lighters found inside the black Poco X3 cellphone case;
l one (1) piece blade;
l one (1) stainless blackhead remover;
l one (1) piece bamboo stick; and
l One (1) unit black Honda beat motorcycle.
In a statement, Col. Siruno emphasized that the police force is serious about doing their duties primarily on running after the violators of the law. "The apprehension of the drug suspect clearly shows that we are serious in the implementation of the laws against these lawless elements”, the official said.
Let this be a warning to everyone who is involved in illegal drug activities, that the long arm of the law will not stop our law enforcement operation and put you behind bars," Pol. Col. Siruno added.
Meanwhile, the case for violation of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared for filing in court against the suspect. (SDS-PPO)
