TACLOBAN CITY - The Department of Labor and Employment 8 (DOLE-8), through the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB), has reminded private employers in Eastern Visayas that the effectivity of the second tranche of the wage increase under Wage Order No. RBVIII-22 starts this month.

Starting January 2 this year, the minimum daily wage of employees in non-agriculture sector and in retail/service establishments with 11 or more employed personnel, will be P375.

Meanwhile, those employed in cottage and handicraft industry, agriculture sector and retail/service establishments with 10 or less employees,  shall receive no less than P345 per day.

DOLE-8 Regional Director and chairmanperson of the RTWPB VIII, Henry John S. Jalbuena, has called upon the employers in the region to strictly follow the said wage order.

Wage Order No. RBVIII-22 provides for P50 wage increase for the workers in Region 8 implemented in two tranches, which took effect last June 27, 2022.  (Tacloban CIO/DOLE 8)
