DOH-HHRDB conducts pilot training on primary care worker competencies

PALO, Leyte -- The Health Human Resources Development Bureau (HHRDB) of the Department of Health has conducted a pilot training for the DOH Academy’s Primary Care Worker Competencies online course on March 13-17 in Palo, Leyte, in efforts to to have a dry-run on the learning modules and to collect feedback on the DOH Academy user-interface.

The HHRDB trainers and personnel were assisted by the DOH Eastern Visayas Center for Health Development (EVCHD) Human Resource Development Unit (HRDU), with the Municipal Health Officer, Public Health Nurse, and Midwife representatives of each province in the region as participants.

The online course is one of the flagship programs of the HHRDB to support the country’s Universal Health Care integration of province-wide and city-wide health systems, as well as strengthen the Health Care Provider Network (HCPN) of the region, and the management of the Special Health Funds of the provinces.
