Tandag City turnovers projects to priority barangays

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- Five (5) Local overGnment upport Fund-Support to the Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) projects were successfully turned over by the city government of Tandag under the administration of Mayor Roxanne C. Pimentel to the four barangays namely,  Maitom, San Antonio, Awasian, and Mabuhay , all in  Tandag City on May 12, 2023.

The provision of Renewable Energy-Based Electrification was turned over to barangays of Maitom, San Antonio, and Awasian with a project cost of P3.9 million each. The project started on January 28, 2023, and was completed on February 28 of the same year.  

Moreover, Barangay Mabuhay reportedly received the upgrading of the water System and the construction of a level II potable water supply system with a project cost of P1.9 million. The project was implemented on January 27, 2023, and was completed on March 10 of the same year.

The LGSF-SBDP is the government’s priority program to usher development and deliver basic services to priority barangays affected by insurgency and terror caused by the communist party of the Philippines- new people's army terrorists (CNT).

Just recently, the city government of Tandag was recognized as one of the LGUs with high delivery rate on implementation of the LGSF-SBDP projects.

Consequently, Mayor Roxanne Pimentel will be reporting the best practices of the city government at the Regional Dialogue on the Implementation of the Local Government Support Fund-Support to the Barangay Development Program on May 16, 2023, in Butuan City.
