CANTILAN, Surigao del Sur -- The local government unit of Cantilan, Surigao del Sur headed by Mayor Philip A. Pichay, through the Municipal Health Office and Family Planning Center, in coordination with the 36IB Bravo Company of the Philippine Army, conducted a medical caravan dubbed as  “Hatud Serbisyo sa mga Cantilangnon” on June 2, 2023 in Barangay General Island, Cantilan town.

The medical caravan offered a comprehensive health care service which was made available to the most vulnerable sectors of the community, to include services on medical and dental consultation, bloodletting, Covid-19 vaccination, and distribution of free vitamins, medicines, and hygiene kits.

With the implementation of the said activity, the Municipal Health Office of Cantilan demonstrated its compassion and commitment to the constituents by bridging the gap between the communities and delivery of essential services. By bringing government programs and services directly to the identified communities, the caravan provides the opportunity to improve public access to government services and responsive assistance to communities in need.
