DPWH Tacloban completes P5-M multi-purpose building construction in San Jose

TACLOBAN CITY -- The Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) has successfully completed the construction of a P5-million multi-purpose building in Barangay 85 San Jose, Tacloban City.

The project, funded through the General Appropriations Act of 2023, was completed on July 10, this year.

Envisioned as a versatile community space, the multi-purpose building stands as a testament to TCDEO's commitment to enhancing Tacloban City's infrastructure. The two-story building, which includes a roof deck, is poised to serve a variety of functions aimed at benefiting the Local Government Unit and the residents of San Jose.

The completion of this project represents a significant milestone for the local community, offering a modern facility that can accommodate meetings, workshops, social events, and various civic activities.

Engr. John Nichole Bertulfo, the Project Engineer responsible for overseeing the construction, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the projects.

"The construction of the multi-purpose building was a significant undertaking, and I am pleased to see the final result. This building will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in fostering community engagement and providing a space for various local activities," Bertulfo said.
