TACLOBAN CITY -- The Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) has embarked on a new infrastructure project, commencing the construction of a multipurpose building within the premises of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Tacloban City.
The project, valued at P7 million, is being financed through the General Appropriations Act of 2023.
Under the diligent oversight of TCDEO, the multipurpose building construction is set to unfold over a span of 110 calendar days, with the goal of enhancing the Bureau of Fire Protection's facilities and bolstering its operational capabilities.
The project entails the creation of a modern and adaptable structure designed to cater to various needs. The multipurpose building is envisioned to provide a dynamic space that can accommodate training sessions, workshops, meetings, and other essential activities. Its strategic location within the BFP's premises underscores its significance in supporting the agency's mission.
"We are excited to be part of this vital project that will undoubtedly contribute to the Bureau of Fire Protection's operational efficiency," stated Engr. Mark Hipona, the Project Engineer responsible for overseeing the construction.
"The multipurpose building will serve as a versatile hub for the agency's activities, ultimately helping them better serve the community," Hipona said.
The construction of the project aligns with TCDEO's commitment to advancing Tacloban City's infrastructure.
