Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP) Chairperson and Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman officially welcomed the Philippine delegation to the 2023 OGP Global Summit in Tallinn, Estonia, on September 5, 2023.
In her welcome remarks, the Budget Secretary reminded the delegates that the Philippines is one of the founding members of OGP: “We have to be genuine leaders in bringing to life this global movement anchored on the values of open government—transparency, accountability, citizen participation, and technology and innovation. The Philippines must be THE example of open government.”
The Philippine Delegation is composed of officials and representatives from the government including the DBM-Procurement Service, Government Procurement Policy Board-Technical Support Office, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Justice, Department of Foreign Affairs, Supreme Court, and the City Government of Baguio.
Also joining the delegation are members of the civil society, academe, and private sector which include the Mindanao Coalition of Development NGO Network, La Salle Institute of Governance, Public Services Labor Independent Confederation, Kaabag sa Sugbo Foundation, Inc., Caucus of Development NGO Networks/Coalition for Bicol Development, Unang Hakbang Foundation, and Makati Business Club.
