The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board  (RTWPB) Caraga conducted the series of Employee Engagement Seminar to various micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of Bislig City on August 31 and September 1, 2023, while MSMEs of Cabadbaran City had their upskilling on September 26 and 27,2023.   

This activity provided the MSMEs the knowledge on employee engagement as a tool for productivity improvement, and equipped them with skills to enumerate ways to drive employee engagement or increase their productivity, and develop employee engagement programs for their respective enterprise.

Some 53 MSMEs from Bislig City,Surigao del Sur participated the two-session activity, while 50 MSMEs from Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte joined the 2-day session on employee engagement.

Director Earl D. Dela Victoria, board secretary VI of RTWPB Caraga, highlighted the importance of engagement of employees in every workplace stating, "Employees’ motivation and involvement in the workplace depend on how the management values them as part of the organization. When employees are engaged, positive results will surely exist.” 

Cornelius Mahinay, supervising labor and employment officer, discussed the following topics: (1) Understanding Employee Engagement and (2) Guide for Driving Employee Engagement. On the other hand, Sara Mae C. Dahuyla, information technology officer, enlightened the participants on how to craft and create employee engagement programs.

A participant shared his thoughts on the training. “As HR manager, this module is a big help for me in crafting programs for employee engagement. I am fortunate that I am included to take part of this training. Thank you for the opportunity”.

As finale, RTWPB Caraga encouraged MSMEs to take advantage of the productivity trainings offered by the agency, as it is willing to impart productivity concepts and ideas and help them create a healthy workplace, and nurture employees to be efficient and productive. (RTWPB-Caraga/PIA-Caraga)
