The safe return to full face-to-face classes is one of the major priorities of the administration of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. in his first 100 days in office. This step was welcomed by teachers and parents alike as it is seen as a way to ensure the proper development of the academic and social skills of learners.

The President believes that a safe balik-eskwela would also lead to balik-negosyo, balik-hanapbuhay, and balik-kaunlaran as it is seen to revive many industries related to education. It would also free up parents to engage in non-remote employment, thereby increasing the country’s available workforce.
