Eleven years after she was given the Dangal ng Bayan Award in Malacanang, Dr. Eleanor A. Javonillo, Medical Officer V of the City Government of Antipolo, is not resting on her laurels. From doing social mobilization activities for 16 barangays as City Nutrition Officer, and now in her present assignment as physician at the Antipolo Social Hygiene Clinic and Satellite Treatment Hub-City Health Office, there's not letup in her vigor to treat patients and improve on the clinic's services.

For people living with HIV, Dr. Javonillo's work entails not only attending to their health needs but also empowering them and helping them cope with the stigma, family issues, and other factors that may affect their mental health.
