POST SONA FORUM
The Philippine Information Agency, as the information arm of the government, has always been committed to impart timely, accurate and relevant information, about the government programs, policies, projects, and services especially on the government peace and development efforts. This includes the mandates of the President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. especially those stipulated in his recent State of the Nation Address.
PBBM stressed in his 2nd SONA that we have now progressed together towards peace and development and that the government has incorporated capacity-building and social protection into our reintegration programs.
In addition, President Marcos Jr. has underscored and pushed for an amnesty program for former rebels, and also highlighted the importance of “Barangay Development and Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Programs which have been effective in addressing the root cause of conflict in the countryside.
(More information about this will be shared by our Speakers later)
In the recent years, we have likewise seen the transformation of Eastern Visayas. Once known as the last bastion of insurgency, Region 8 is now a beacon of hope, transforming difficult and insurgency-ridden paths to inspiring and development-driven communities.
The PIA, as the Cluster lead of RTF 8 ELCAC, is happy to share to you the gains of the convergence efforts towards a “Murayaw ngan Mainuswagon nga Sinirangan Bisayas.”
SERBISYO CARAVAN
We are also grateful that we have 31 government agencies and stakeholders joining us in the Serbisyo Caravan, who brought with them in this venue, their programs and services that you can avail of.
The Serbisyo Caravan is aimed at bringing these services and programs closer to the people, to the Taclobanons, as what the present Administration of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has recently pushed for unity -- PAGKAUROSA. This is his order to all government offices to adopt the Bagong Pilipinas campaign, a brand of government and leadership reinforced by unified institutions, as we move together as one to win the peace and achieve a Matatag, Maginhawa, and Panatag na buhay para sa lahat.
DAMO NGA SALAMAT!
