Cold springs. Pristine beaches. Endless adventures. Safe facilities.
These are among the many reasons why tourists love to always 'come back to Camiguin.'
In an effort to revitalize its tourism industry, the Local Government of Camiguin has reopened the island to visitors and tourists and boasts the newer, more vibrant look and feel of its various popular tourist destinations and attractions.
One key feature of Camiguin’s reopening is its modernization of its popular tourist destinations including the Soda Water Pool and the Sto. Niño Cold Spring. This, to make them more palatable to a new wave of tourists and returning guests. In addition, these renovation works highlight the lush greenery and other natural features surrounding these destinations.
For only P75, one can already enjoy the cool and clean waters of the said water parks. Families or groups of six to eight can also bond in the newly-renovated cottages at only P150.
Still imposing the health protocols, the water parks can accommodate at most 120 persons inside the areas at the same time. The management also allows a maximum of three hour-stay in the areas so other guests can be accommodated.
Stores that sell refrigerator magnets, key chains, postcards, and P100 souvenir tee shirts have also slowly reopened in these destinations.
Local delicacies can also be enjoyed in the water parks through the nearby stores at P250-400 per serving. Chicken Surol, sinigang, sinuglaw, tinola, grilled fish, pancit, adobo, buttered shrimp, adobo, linagpang, among other dishes can be ordered and served hot while one savors the beauty of the scenic springs.
