MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL (PIA)--Composed of rounded butter cookies packed in microwavable rectangular plastic containers, KS Crunchy Original Cookies were featured at the product exhibit during the recently conducted consultative meeting between the provincial local government, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Local Chief Executives of Misamis Occidental.
KS Cookies is a product of the Kinangay Sur Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative (KINSARCO), based in the Municipality of Clarin, Misamis Occidental.
It started manufacturing food products in 2014 with the synchronized assistance of the DTI and the Department of Agrarian Reform via the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).
The cooperative continues to champion the production of healthy but affordable food products for the community while helping augment the lives of its members, who are mostly women.
Aside from KS cookies, KINSARCO also manufactures rice polvoron.
The delicious snacks are available at the following outlets: Ria Thrifty Mart, Clarin House of Suman, Ozamiz Port Area, and MHARS Medical Center canteen.
