Exhibits at 6th Organic Asia Congress: A melting pot of organic innovations, sustainable practices

KAUSWAGAN, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--The 6th Organic Asia Congress, a platform dedicated to promoting sustainable organic agriculture, not only captured the attention of farmers, experts, and enthusiasts but also showcased a diverse range of exhibits that left a lasting impact on both local and international delegates.

Through exhibits, various enterprises, organizations, and government agencies showcased the latest innovations in organic agriculture products and services, serving as a powerful catalyst for promoting sustainable solutions and heralding a new era of environmentally conscious farming practices.

Enhancing agricultural sustainability

One of the notable participants at the congress was Ecokaku Farms Inc., a leading provider of bio-organic fertilizer named Shukaku Reiki. Their primary advocacy is to assist farmers in improving their soil while nurturing a sustainable livelihood and preserving a healthier environment.

Leonil Taglucop, the product development officer, emphasized the advantages of their Japan-technology-based products, manufactured in the Philippines.

"Our bio-organic fertilizers are formulated under advanced Japanese technology. A significant advantage is that they are liquid, allowing our farmers to easily use them on a large scale. Unlike composting, which requires time and a considerable volume of raw materials for decomposition, our liquid fertilizers can be instantly sprayed," he said.

Empowering farmers through educational videos

Another organization making a significant impact at the congress was Access Agriculture, co-founded by Phil Malone, based in Belgium. Access Agriculture showcased a collection of educational videos made in collaboration with their partners, featuring farmers who share their knowledge and experiences in organic agriculture step by step.

These videos serve as a powerful tool for sharing knowledge and overcoming challenges in agricultural practices. With over 100 languages represented, including Filipino languages, Access Agriculture has reached an estimated 90 million people globally in the past decade.

These videos empower farmers by demonstrating practical solutions to overcome challenges. Malone encouraged attendees to visit their website, www. accessagriculture.org, where these valuable resources are readily available.

"We have videos which have been made by our partners where farmers show how to do organic agriculture and they show it step by step, how they've overcome problems," he said.

The 6th Organic Asia Congress not only served as a platform for enterprises, organizations, and agencies to showcase their contributions to agricultural sustainability but also fostered an environment of knowledge-sharing and collaboration among industry experts, farmers, and enthusiasts.

The exhibits promoted the adoption of sustainable farming practices, paving the way for a greener and more sustainable future in organic agriculture. (LELA/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
