A Filipino native from the province of Romblon has made waves by graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a prestigious school in the United States.

His name is Sean Firmalo Rutor, grandson of former Governor Eduardo Firmalo. Rutor earned Latin honors from the University of Delaware.

What makes Sean even more remarkable is that he wore the Philippine flag emblem on his graduation gown.

Sean traveled to America with his mother, Fate Firmalo, who works as a nurse. He continued his studies there until he completed his degree with Latin honors.

Sean's excellence extends beyond academics, as many are also impressed by his dedication to serving his community. He organized blood donation drives on campus during a time of blood supply shortage, making a significant impact.
