How to find your voting precinct?

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has activated its online precinct finder to assist voters in locating their designated polling places and precinct numbers for the October 30 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections.

This user-friendly tool simplifies the process of identifying where a registered voter will cast his/her ballot.

This guide will walk you through the steps on how to use the Comelec Precinct Finder to help you have a smooth and hassle-free voting experience.

Step 1: Accessing the Comelec Precinct Finder

The first step is to access the Comelec Precinct Finder. You can do this by visiting the official Comelec website. The announcement regarding the availability of the precinct finder was made on October 24, 2023, and the tool will remain accessible until election day.

Step 2: Input Your Information

Once you're on the Precinct Finder webpage, you will be prompted to input specific information. To find your designated polling place and precinct number, you will need to provide the following details:

Full Name: Enter your complete name as it appears on your voter registration record.

Date of Birth: Input your birthdate to help the system verify your identity.

Date of Registration: Specify the date you registered as a voter. This date is essential for confirming your eligibility to vote in the upcoming elections.

Step 3: Receive Your Precinct Information

After you've filled in the required fields, click the "Search" or "Find My Precinct" button. The Precinct Finder will process your information and provide you with your assigned polling place and precinct number.

This information is crucial, as it will guide you to the exact location where you should cast your vote on October 30, 2023.

Step 4: Voting Ballots

It's essential to be aware of the type of ballot(s) you will receive based on your age.

For voters aged 15 to 17 years old, you will be provided with one SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) ballot.

For voters aged 18 to 30 years old, you will receive one SK ballot and one barangay ballot.

For voters over 31 years old, you will be given one ballot for selecting barangay officials.

The Comelec Precinct Finder is a valuable tool for voters in the Philippines, helping you locate your polling places and precinct numbers with ease.

The whole process has been made simple and easy for a better user experience; however, in case you are unsuccessful in finding your precinct via the Precinct Finder application, you can contact your nearest local Comelec office, or through official Comelec social media pages to report the issue.

By following the simple steps outlined in this guide, you can ensure a seamless and convenient voting experience in the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 30, 2023.

Remember that your vote is your voice, and participating in these elections is an essential part of the democratic process. Use the Precinct Finder to exercise your right to vote and make a difference in your community. (PIA-NCR)
