In her welcome remarks during the 2022 National Literacy Awards (NLA) on Thursday, December 1, in Mandaluyong City, Vice President and Secretary of Department of Education Hon. Sara Z. Duterte said it is important that everyone stay committed in bringing to the poor the importance of literacy. The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Literacy Coordinating Council recognizes the best literary practices of local government units (LGU) and nongovernment organizations (NGOs) through this awarding ceremony.
