Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Director General Ramon Lee Cualoping III met with Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil, MNSA and Undersecretary Tala Maralit on Friday, February 17, 2023 to discuss plans for the agency moving forward.

Pursuant to the Executive Order No. 16 series of 2023 recently released by the President, the Philippine Information Agency is now once again an attached agency to the PCO.

This is part of the current administration’s effort to streamline government processes and strengthen the information campaign to ensure that all Filipinos are well-informed of government programs and projects.

To reach that goal, the PIA carrying the #ExplainExplainExplain advocacy is expected to expand with the new guidance and marching orders from PCO in support of the programs and policies of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

PIA Deputy Director-General Kat Sinsuat De Castro and Deputy Director-General Karl Louie Fajardo also joined the meeting.
