Homeowners from Marawi's sector 4 to 7 can construct, repair houses by October

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Homeowners from Sectors 4 to 7 of the most affected area (MAA) who acquired building permits can repair or construct houses by October.

“Based on our timeline, with the demand and desire of the general public to construct their own houses and buildings in MAA, the road network construction will be completed by September. So starting October of 2021 all those with building permits from sectors 1 to 7 will be allowed to construct houses already,” said del Rosario.

The Task Force chief also noted that the road network is very important as this signals the return of the residents in sectors 1 to 7.

To date, the Marawi City Office of the Building Official has evaluated 2,128 applications for building permits from sectors one to seven. There are 369 houses or buildings being constructed or repaired in sectors one to three while 113  private structures have been completed and occupied in sector one.

The barangays part of sectors 1 to 7 are Tolali, Daguduban, Moncado Kadingilan, Kapantaran, Moncado Colony, Sangkay Dansalan, Norhaya Village, Wawalayan Marinaut, Marinaut East, Tuca Marinaut, Lilod Madaya, Banggolo, South Madaya, and Bubonga Madaya (LELA/PIA-10/ICIC/Lanao del Sur)
