Marawi mayor notes concreted networks as sign of progress

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA) -- Marawi City Mayor Majul Gandamra noted the construction of roads, bridges and other concreted networks as a sign of progress of the city.

“The construction of road, bridges and other concrete networks are signs of progress considering that this network connects our city to neighboring places prompting healthy economic movement within our city and province of Lanao del Sur,” said Gandamra during the inauguration of the newly reconstructed Lilod Guimba Bridge along Barangay Kurmatan-Matampay.

The local chief executive also cited that the continuous services provided by the different line agencies of government create tangible changes to the city.

“These changes are designed to positively impact the lives of our constituents and are targeted to position our city as a progressive and prosperous city,” he said.

Gandamra is optimistic that the city is gearing up to be a better place and will certainly reach at par with other cities.

To date, the rehabilitation of Banggolo and Mapandi bridges, Maul Lumbaca Ingud - Ranao Ranao Alternate Bypass Road in Maul, Marantao, Lanao del Sur has been completed. Ongoing construction of road networks inside the most affected area and the Portland Cement Concrete Pavement at Pantar, Lanao del Norte to Lanao del Sur and repair works for Pumping bridge still continue.
