TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - Additional 10, 000 doses of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccines and 4, 800 doses of Sputnik V have arrived on Friday at the Tuguegarao City Airport.
The newly delivered Sinovac vaccines are intended for the City of Ilagan in Isabela while 2, 400 doses of Sputnik V brand are for the province of Isabela. The remaining 2, 400 doses will be delivered to the province of Nueva Vizcaya.
Joyce Maquera, vaccination focal person of the Department of Health region 2, said there were already 217, 640 total vaccines earlier delivered in region 2 in which 123, 980 doses are Sinovac; 84,000 - AstraZeneca; 9, 360 - Pfizer; and 300 doses of Gamaleya.
"We already delivered all vaccines allotted to the different municipalities and cities in the region," Maqeura said.
She also said that inoculation is still ongoing in most of the areas, both for first dose and those who are scheduled to receive their second doses.
Maquera also said there's already 93.59% consumption rate on the vaccines given in Cagayan Valley in which AstraZeneca has 104.67 % because some extracted more 10 doses in one vial; Sinovac is already at 91.31%; Pfizer is at 24.26%, and the Gamaleya is already at 100%. She also said there were 496 wastage on the vaccines, 4, 505 deferrals and 638 refusals. (MDCT/OTB/PIA 2-Cagayan)
