ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- The municipal government of Lambunao, Iloilo has provided food packs and galvanized iron sheets to families whose houses were damaged by a tornado that occurred in the municipality on June 25.

Municipal Information Officer Gina Aris said that seven houses were totally destroyed while 35 others were partially damaged during the incident, based on the data from their office.

These houses are located in the town’s nine barangays, namely Jorog, Legayada, Simsiman, Supoc, Cayan Este, Lanot Grande, Lanot Pequino, Corot-on and Quiling.

Aris said the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office is still assessing the damage of the tornado in other barangays. (JSC/laf/PIA6 Iloilo)
