ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--The province of Lanao del Norte proves its commitment to ramp up its vaccination drive as it efficiently used its allocated doses of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines.
Department of Health (DOH)-10 Regional Director Dr. Jose Llacuna Jr. bared during a virtual conversation with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Lanao del Norte and local government units that the province on Tuesday, June 29, that the province has already received more than 32,000 doses since the start of the national program and 93% of it has already been successfully inoculated.
“Based on our records, we already have 32,700 doses of vaccine given to the province of Lanao del Norte and the governor will really appreciate and be happy because 93% ang inyong [is your] utilization rate mao nang ang [that is why the] other doses are for the second doses so you perform what we want you to do,” he said.
Llacuna further said the province has been effective enough in terms of its utilization.
He also assured the province that they will be receiving their own share of doses to carry on its well-implemented vaccination program.
“Hopefully, in the next batches of vaccines coming, we will be giving you enough for you to do kay maayo ang inyong utilization [because you have done well in your utilization],” he said.
Per the record dated June 26, 2021, 69.70% of the population belonging to the A1 priority group has already completed their vaccine doses while at least 8.09% of the A2 population were completely inoculated.
