Mayor Junaid expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the 4th Special Forces Battalion headed by Lieutenant Colonel Alex D. Ampati for the support and the success of the activity, which hopes to mold the participants to become effective future leaders of Tabuanlasa.
With the theme, “Youth Leaders of Today, Hope of Tomorrow”, the youth camp aims to develop the leadership skills and build the camaraderie of youth leaders from different barangays.
The military said that the activity was the very first youth camp held in town with 73 youth leaders from different barangays vigorously participated in different leadership development activities such as amazing race, self-reflection, team building, leadership seminar, human rights law and environmental protection lecture.
Attorney Yasmeen Junaid, Municipal Administrator and adviser of Youth for Peace Movement Tabuanlasa Chapter, praised the sincerity of the youth leaders in promoting peace and become partners in peace-building efforts.
“Hindi kailangan na mataas ang pinag-aralan para maging isang mabuting leader, pero kung maabot mo man ‘yon, bonus na ‘yon,” she said.
Meanwhile, Captain James Dipidip, the Battalion Executive Officer of 4th Special Forces Battalion inspired the youth leaders to live to their fullest potentials and become catalysts of change.
“Sa inyo nakasalalay ang kinabukasan ng Tabuanlasa, kayo ang huhubog sa imahe ng inyong bayan,” Captain Dipidip said.
The said activity was also attended by First Lieutenant Reynaldo Gamponia Jr., the CMO Officer of 101st Brigade, Police Lieutenant Ritchel Perez, COP Tabuanlasa Municipal Police Station, Youth for Peace–Isabela City Chapter representative Johar Jalilul, different local agency heads, barangay officials, and other stakeholders.
