10M plus vaccines administered -- NVOC

QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- The National Vaccine Operations Center (NVOC) confirmed that the Philippines has administered more than 10 million vaccines as of Sunday, June 27, said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr.

A ceremonial vaccination was held on Monday in the City of Valenzuela to celebrate this milestone of the vaccination program.

"Tiwala tayo na maaabot natin ang 500,000 daily vaccination rate nating target basta patuloy ang pagdating ng supply ng bakuna sa bansa [We trust that we will reach our target of 500,000 daily vaccination rate as long as the supply of vaccines continuously arrives in the country],”  said Secretary Roque.

He then announced that the first batch of Moderna vaccines arrived on Sunday. The150,000 doses were procured by the national government, while the 99,600 doses were bought by the private sector.
 
The Palace Spokesperson also reported the arrival of 1 million doses of Sinovac vaccines on Monday which brings a total of 12 million doses of this brand delivered in the country. (MCG/PIA-IDPD/OPS/PCOO)
