DPWH offers slope protections for Ambaguio bridge

AMBAGUIO, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - Officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recommended measures to prevent rockslides on the approach of the Wangwang Bridge in this town.

Engineer Danilo Bernabe, DPWH main district's Quality Section chief said Rockfall Netting amounting to P140 million and Slope Stabilization Works amounting to P7.5 million can be doen to prevent rockslides at the Wangwang Bridge.

"These are the proposals that can prevent rockslides along the bridge's approach. Rockslides have already damaged the bridge's wing walls and water supply pipes," he said.

The Wangwang Bridge serves as the major link of villagers to its neighboring towns of Bayombong and Solano.

The P26.730 million Wangwang Bridge was started in August 2018 and completed in October 2019.
