7,825 Tagbilaranons vaccinated

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, July 5 (PIA) -- Some 7,825 residents in Tagbilaran City have been vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as of June 23. 

In a Facebook post by the City Government of Tagbilaran, it said that a total of 7,825 residents have been vaccinated in the city as of June 23. 

Based on the City Health Office records, these comprise the following categories: A1 - 940 frontliners; A2 - 4,163 senior citizens; A3 - 2,514 persons with comorbidities; and A5 - 208 indigents.

The COVID-19 vaccination sites in Tagbilaran City opened and rolled out the second dose of vaccines on June 30. 

From three vaccination sites, it has grown into five with the following designated barangays, namely: Bool Elementary School for Brgy. Bool, Mansasa and Poblacion 1; Tagbilaran City Elementary School for barangays Poblacion 2 and Poblacion 3; Dao Elementary School for barangays Dao, Tiptip, San Isidro and Cabawan; Booy Covered Court for barangays Booy, Taloto, Ubujan and Manga; and at Tagbilaran City College for barangays Dampas and Cogon.

City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc called on city residents to protect each other against the spread of COVID-19.

“We have to protect each other against the spread of COVID-19 and getting vaccinated is one way of protecting ourselves and others," Pondoc said.  (ecb/PIA7 Bohol)
