VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) -- The 83rd Infantry (Matikas) Battalion, 9th Infantry (SPEAR) Division of the Philippine Army in coordination with the Catanduanes Police Provincial Office and the Provincial Government of Catanduanes conducted the Provincial Level Security Assessment Forum (PLSAF) on June 25, 2021 at Catanduanes State University (CatSU) Auditorium.
The activity aims to strengthen security on critical projects and vital installations that are essential in sustaining peace and order for unhampered development of the province of Catanduanes.
In his message during the program, Joint Task Force Bicolandia (JTFB) Deputy Commander BGEN Adonis R. Bajao of PA, he said that the forum will serve as an avenue for stronger partnership and coordination that will create a platform for collaboration both the security sector and business industry for the adoption of techniques and practices that are essential in the protection of individual investment.
Also, Bajao awarded Catanduanes governor Joseph C. Cua “the Matikas wooden clock,” a memento for his support and dedication to JTFB particularly in Catanduanes who was represented by Provincial Administrator Lemuel P. Surtida.
The event was participated by the eleven (11) Chief of Police of Catanduanes, construction companies, security officers of vital installations, JTFB members, other uniformed personnel (BJMP, PCG, CAAP, AVESE group). (EAB/PIA Bicol)
