2 Isabela MSMEs get product registration

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - Two Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) in the province recently received their Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) from the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Region 2.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Director Winston Singun said the KMK Food Products and David’s Agribusiness Ventures that are both assisted by their department finally received their CPR for their products bottled gourmet tuyo and crispy mushroom, respectively.

Singun said KMK Food Products, more popularly known by their brand name My Kitchen Delicacies located in Cauayan City and established in 2016, was the first to introduce and popularize bottled gourmet tuyo in the region and to other regions through the National Trade Fairs. 

 “The bottled gourmet tuyo continues to be one of its best sellers today and is assisted by DTI,” Singun said.

On the other hand, Singun said that David’s Agribusiness Ventures which is producing mushroom chicharron is located in Barucboc, Quezon, Isabela and has been in the food processing business since 2017. 

He said the mushroom chicharon is distributed to pasalubong centers in Isabela and Cagayan provinces, and as far as Metro Manila qnd overseas.

A product with approved CPR is an assurance that these are safe for human consumption and only products with CPR can be sold commercially in legitimate outlets outside the region and exported to other countries. (MDCT/MGE/PIA Isabela with reports from DTI Isabela)
