SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Local Government Unit here recently opened its Fruit Processing and Development Center (FPDC) in barangay Poblacion South.

Mayor Eufemia Dacayo said the FPDC, a Shared Service Facility of the DTI aims to help budding Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) get skills needed for their fruit processing business.

"This facility is open for those who are interested to learn skills on fruit processing so that they can use them for their livelihood," she said.

The establishment of the FPDC is the product of a Usufruct Agreement for the SSF between the LGU Solano and the DTI.

The FPDC, located at the 2nd Floor of the Solano Pasalubong and Training Center (SPTC) has initially served several women trainees on fruit processing and production. (MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
