BANGUED, Abra (PIA) -- The Provincial Nutrition Committee (PNC), in coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd), invites all interested participants to participate in a poster making contest in celebration of the National Nutrition Month.
The 47th Nutrition Month celebration this July adopts the theme “Malnutrisyon Patuloy na Labanan, First 1000 Days Tutukan”.
Entries should revolve around the theme which mainly promotes efforts on the First 1000 Days of life as the strategic intervention to prevent stunting and obesity.
Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Glenda Belisario said the poster making contest is open to all students of K-12 in public and private schools, one entry per school. Participants are allowed to choose their desired medium using ½ size of illustration board.
All entries must be submitted at the Abra Schools Division Office until July 15, 2021.
Cash prizes await the winners- P5,000 for first prize; P4,000 for second prize, and P3,000 for third prize. 48 participants will be chosen to win a special prize of P1,000 each.
In celebration of Nutrition Month, PNC also leads a training on Child Growth Standards among Barangay Nutrition Scholars of the municipalities. (JDP/ Christian Allister G. Tubadeza – PIA CAR, Abra)
