MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) Chairperson Sec. Eduardo Del Rosario noted during the press conference on Thursday, July 8, the transparency in the implementation of Marawi rehabilitation.
“Definitely walang korapsyon na nangyayari dahil very transparent ang implementation ng ating project,” said Del Rosario.
The TFBM chief also said the Marawi Civil Society Organizations Convergence Group (MCSOCG) serves as a third party that monitors the rehabilitation.
He said MCSOCG participates during the monthly meeting with various government agencies and contractors of infrastructure projects.
“Iyong well-meaning CSOs, they appreciate so much iyong transparency na ginaagwa ng TBFM dahil kasama namin sila all the way (Those well-meaning CSOs appreciate so much the transparency of TBFM because they are with us all the way),” the TFBM chief added.
Composed of 12 different CSO groups, the MCSOCG directly presents issues to the implementing agency or contractor of a project and questions their progress of work and the number of employees deployed for the projects inside and outside of the City's most affected area.
The housing czar, Del Rosario, also called on the critics of TFBM to "be part of the solution and not be part of the problem by spreading unfounded and deceitful statements." (LELA/PIA-10/ICIC/Lanao del Sur)
