DILG confers Quirino Safety Seal

Quirino is first PLGU to be conferred with Safety Seal in CagVal

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on July 8 conferred the Safety Seal to the provincial government and its 12 offices at the Quirino Watersports Comples here.

According to the DILG, the provincial government, including its 12 offices, is the first to be awarded with the Safety Seal in the region.

DILG Assistant Regional Director Elpidio A. Durwin said the Safety Seal Certification Program ensures that the establishments are safe and they follow the minimum public health standards (MPHS) and the Safety Seal is a manifestation of compliance of an establishment to health standards.

The offices that were  awarded with Safety Seal are: Provincial Governor’s Office/Office of the Provincial Administrator, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Provincial Accounting Office, Provincial Human Resource and Management Office, Provincial Treasurer’s Office, Provincial Budget Office, Provincial Planning and Development Office/Bids and Awards Committee Office, Provincial Assessor’s Office, Provincial Agriculture Office, Provincial Veterinary Office, and Provincial Natural Resources and Environment Office.

Gov Dax in his message, thank DILG Inspection and Certification Team for recognizing the efforts of the PLGU in complying the health standard requirements for the Safety Seal.

Governor Dakila Carlo Cua, who received the Safety Seal Award in behalf of the provincial government has extended his gratitude to the the DILG Inspection and Certification Team for recognizing the efforts of the provincial government in  complying with the health standards required by national agencies to ensure the safety of the government employees and their clients.

Prior to the conferment of the Seal, the DILG conducted an inspection of  the capitol building, OPAg, PNREO, PSWDO, LEX building  and all the offices under the provincial government to check their compliance to MPHS.

Aside from the provincial government, the local government unit of Diffun was also conferred with the Safety Seal recently by the DILG Inspection and Certification Team.  The awarding was witnessed by Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr.

The Safety Seal Certification Program is an undertaking of the DILG, Department of Tourism, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry, and Department of Health which grants establishments a Safety Seal to be displayed in a conspicuous place to be visible to all clients entering the establishments.
