NEGROS OCCIDENTAL (PIA) –- Some 239 laptops were raffled off to public school teachers in this province courtesy of the Provincial School Board (PSB) fund.

Each ASUS laptop was valued at P34,950.00 or a total amount of P8,353,050.00 for all 239 units provided for by the provincial government of Negros Occidental through the PSB.

Negros Occidental Schools Division Superintendent Marsette D. Sabbaluca thanked Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Education Committee Chairperson and Board Member Agustin Ernesto Bascon, and the rest of the officials of the provincial government for their continuous support to empower Negrense teachers, as well as learners.

The raffle was done during the online celebration of Department of Education's 123rd founding anniversary.

These laptops will be turned over to the winners through their respective Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) this month at the Provincial Capitol. *(LTP/EAD-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
