SAN FERNANDO CITY, July 15 (PIA) – The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Region 1 will physically stage the 2021 PNP Entrance and Promotional Examinations here beginning by the end of July.
On July 31, the entrance examination will be held in three different venues in this city namely the Saint Louis College, the Don Mariano Marcos State University, and the La Union National High School wherein 98 classrooms were prepared to accommodate the 1,642 applicants.
While 36 classrooms in the SLC were readied to cater the 524 expected examinees for the promotional test on August 1.
According to Atty. Joseph Apolonio, Attorney V of NAPOLCOM, these numerous testing sites were set to ensure compliance on the minimum health protocols.
“Mayroon po tayong tatlong venues para masigurong masusunod po natin ang mga minimum health protocols lalong-lalo na ang physical distancing,” Apolonio said.
A ratio of 15 examinees per classroom will be observed.
To further ensure the safety of the examinees and the facilitators against COVID-19, each examinee is required to present a medical certificate issued by a licensed government physician from their respective city or municipality.
“Kailangan nilang magpakita ng medical certificate na nagsasabing sila ay COVID-19 free at dapat issued ito sa loob ng 72 oras bago ang pagsusulit,” he explained.
Further, examinees will have to secure the Notice of Admission (NOA) which bears the assigned venue, room, and seat.
To date, NOA is not yet available in the region.
“The NOA for Region 1 is not yet available so kindly wait for our announcement as to when and how you can download,” Apolonio said.
Along with the NOA are a downloadable health declaration form.
Two valid IDs must also be presented.
A dress code must be observed during the exam day such as a plain white shirt or white polo shirt with dark pants and shoes for entrance examinees while the GOA Type B uniform or patrol shirt for those taking the promotional test.
Examinees not wearing the prescribed attire will be allowed of entry in the test center.
Also, review materials, calculator, two-way radio, firearms, explosives or any deadly weapon are strictly prohibited in the venue.
“Non-compliance to these restrictions means automatic disqualification or nullification of his or her exam result,” he warned.
However, mobile phones can be used in the venue for the sole purpose of presenting and scanning their QR codes and must be turned off immediately right after scanning.
Meanwhile, individuals who will be coming outside La Union will have to comply with the border control protocols implemented by the provincial government.
Documentary travel requirements needed are a 1) a negative RT-PCR swab or saliva test result; 2) NAPANAM QR code; and 3) any government-issued ID.
If fully vaccinated, two weeks after receiving the second dose, an individual will only have to present his or her vaccination card in lieu of the negative confirmatory test result. (JCR/CGC, PIA La Union)
