PSA Albay starts PHILSYS ID registration for institutions

LEGAZPI CITY, July 16 (PIA) -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Albay has started institutional registration for the PhilSys ID in government and private offices.

“The institutional registration is being done in consideration of the working group who wish to have their PhilIDs, however constraint to personally appear at their nearest Philsys registration centers due to their work schedule,” PSA Albay chief statistical specialist Cecil G. Brondial said.

Brondial said a total of 8, 695 out of 9,830 institutional target registrants have been registered as of July 12, 2021.

“There will be more institutions scheduled for the PhilSys registration on the succeeding days. This will help in achieving the target number of registrants for the year 2021,” she added.

The PhilSys registration team conducts institutional registration to offices or agencies with available spaces, stable internet connection and other essential tools for the physical set-up of the registration kits and for compliance with the health and safety protocols

Employees and workers in Albay who cannot personally visit PHILSYS ID registration centers can avail the ongoing PhilSys institutional registration conducted by PSA Albay.

Among the offices that availed the institutional registrations were the 9ID Philippine Army-Charlie Company 31st IB, Civil Service Commission, Commissions on Elections, Philippine National Police-Albay and Department of Interior and Local Government, among others. Employees of LGUs and other private institutions such as malls and banks also availed this service.

The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Act, aims to establish a single national identification system for all citizens and resident aliens of the Philippines.
