ILOILO CITY (PIA) - - Working hours in the different branches of Social Security System (SSS) based in Iloilo City have been temporarily shortened due to imposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the city and province of Iloilo.
SSS-West Visayas 2 Division Acting Senior Communication Analyst Amiel Genova said the SSS Iloilo Central Branch and Iloilo Molo Branch started implementing skeletal workforce and shortened business hours starting July 19.
Genova said this is in compliance with Executive Order No. 61 and Executive Order No. 258 issued by Iloilo City mayor Jerry Treñas and Governor Arthur Defensor, respectively, in connection with the ECQ classification of the city and province of Iloilo until July 31, 2021.
Daily business hours in these branches are from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. for their Member Services Section and 8 A.M. to 2 P.M. for their Tellering Section.
Genova said only those with confirmed appointments through the hotline and online appointment system will be catered.
“Walk in clients are allowed in the tellering section for payment of contributions and loans following strict quarantine protocols such as social distancing and wearing of facemask and faceshield at all times,” he said.
