Ryan Abetriya, focal person of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Marinduque, reminded the beneficiaries to remain dedicated to their services at all times.

“I hope all of you will do your best in your work, as your actions will greatly affect the next batches of SPES beneficiaries in Marinduque,” said Abetriya.

The SPES beneficiaries are set to receive a salary amounting to ₱8,925.40 or ₱446.27 for a day of work. Salaries were 40% from DOLE and 60% from the provincial government.

Marinduque Governor Presbitero Velasco, Jr. delivered his remarks through his executive assistant, Russel Madrigal. He expressed hope that the financial assistance that the beneficiaries will receive from the program will provide ample help on their continuing education.

"It is my wish that the money you will receive from this good program of our government will help you in your education. Don’t use them on unnecessary purchases. Use it for school," he said.

Also present in the orientation were Alma Timtiman, chief admin officer and provincial PESO manager, Richard Mangana and Richard Nardo, representatives from the Congresional District Office of House Speaker Lord Allan Jay Velasco.

SPES primarily aims to assist poor, but deserving, students and out-of-school youth to pursue their education by providing them income through employment.
