BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - Poor villagers of Villaverde town recently received assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Mayor William Tugangui said 340 poor villagers received their salaries during the recent cash payout of the DSWD through the Cash for Work Program (CWP).

"Our poor constituents are happy because of this program. Truly our gratitude goes to our DSWD for providing our villagers jobs while coping with the present situation," he said.

Tugangui said the CWP has been beneficial to their constituents in order for them to cope with the impacts of climate change and the COVID-19.

The cash payout was conducted by the DSWD at the LGU gymnasium of the municpality. (MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
